Biography

Tan grew up in Malaysia and came to the United States in 1971 on a scholarship to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, later earning an MBA from Harvard University. Before joining Broadcom, he held senior management roles at Hume Industries, Pacven Investment, General Motors, PepsiCo and Commodore International.
