Problem areas / controversies

  • He inherited a difficult operating backdrop: Kraft Heinz’s 2025 net sales declined 3.5%, while the company recorded a $4.7 billion operating loss driven largely by $9.3 billion of non-cash impairment charges. • His decision to pause the planned corporate separation was a major strategic reversal and initially contributed to a sharp decline in the company’s share price. • The turnaround remains at an early stage, with higher marketing spending and inflationary manufacturing costs weighing on adjusted operating income in the first quarter of 2026. • There is limited public evidence yet to assess Cahillane’s long-term results at Kraft Heinz because he became CEO only in January 2026.
