Is ORCL-Oracle a buy?

Friday 11 September 2026

Why now: Oracle reported a fresh quarter of exceptional cloud-infrastructure demand and the shares are up 2.76% to $157.16 today. The short-term setup is still incomplete, but the earnings update makes execution on artificial intelligence capacity the central issue for the next year.

Upside: The Wall Street consensus target is $240.55, implying 52.9% upside from the current price. That outcome depends on Oracle converting its contracted demand and remaining performance obligations into delivered, profitable cloud capacity.

Risks: The main risk is that data-center spending stays ahead of cash generation for too long. A weaker customer spending cycle, capacity-delivery delays, or higher borrowing costs would pressure the valuation quickly.
